THE CENTER FOR HEALTH EQUITY & WELLBEING’S COMMITMENT TO PRIVACY
We are committed to protecting your privacy. You can visit all portions of equityandwellbeing.org without telling us who you are and without revealing any personal information.
HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION THAT YOU PROVIDE TO US?
We use personal information solely for purposes of customer service or hiring.
HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
We also protect your sensitive information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, human resources or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
DO WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION TO OUTSIDE PARTIES?
The Center does not sell or otherwise disclose user information outside the organization.
Emails that you may send to us may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures will be in place prior to your transmitting the information. For this reason, we ask that you do not send confidential information to us through an unsecured e-mail.
If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses. We provide the same protections for these electronic communications that we employ in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.
WHAT ABOUT LEGALLY COMPELLED DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION?
We may disclose information when legally compelled to do so; that is, when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires it or for the protection of our legal rights.
We reserve the right to update this policy. Reasons to do so include, but are not limited to, changes in best practices or site changes in the future which enable users to provide personal information online.
